InfernoToday’s book is Inferno by Catherine Doyle

Series: #2 in the Blood for Blood Saga

Publication Date: 7th January 2016 by Chicken House

Summary: Sophie’s life has been turned upside-down, and she’s determined to set things right. But Nic, the Falcone brother who represents everything she’s trying to forget, won’t give up on their love – and it’s Luca’s knife she clutches for comfort. Soon another mafia clan spoils the fragile peace – and with her heart drawn in one direction and her blood in another, Sophie’s in deeper than ever.

I love, Love, LOVE the first book of this series, and I need the second book! I’m praying that stuff happens with the RIGHT guy in this book – and it will. I love the premise for these books, and it’s so intriguing…

It has quite a few Goodreads reviews so far, all of which are raving about this book… I adore this cover (it’s not Nic on the cover though?) and the scattering of items in a very obviously planned way makes me so excited for what is to come…

Just let me know one thing, who else is pumped for this book? IS THIS BOOK GOING TO HAVE THE PATTERN ON THE SIDE AGAIN? 🙂

Today’s book is Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry:

Publication Date: 26th May 2015 by Harlequin Teen

Summary: Seventeen-year-old Emily likes her life the way it is: doting parents, good friends, good school in a safe neighborhood. Sure, she’s curious about her biological father—the one who chose life in a motorcycle club, the Reign of Terror, over being a parent—but that doesn’t mean she wants to be a part of his world. But when a reluctant visit turns to an extended summer vacation among relatives she never knew she had, one thing becomes clear: nothing is what it seems. Not the club, not her secret-keeping father and not Oz, a guy with suck-me-in blue eyes who can help her understand them both.

Oz wants one thing:  to join the Reign of Terror. They’re the good guys. They protect people. They’re…. family. And while Emily – the gorgeous and sheltered daughter of the club’s most respected member – is in town, he’s gonna prove it to her. So when her father asks him to keep her safe from a rival club with a score to settle, Oz knows it’s his shot at his dream. What he doesn’t count on is that Emily might just turn that dream upside down.

No one wants them to be together. But sometimes the right person is the one you least expect, and the road you fear the most is the one that leads you home.

Wow! I haven’t seen a book like this yet really… So excited for this one, it has a great synopsis and a beautiful cover… I’m in love with it already. Apparently, Katie’s writing is great too, so I can’t wait.

Today’s book is The Territory by Sarah Govett:

Publication Date: 14th May 2015 by Firefly Press

Summary: Limited space requires Limited numbers.

The year is 2059. Noa Blake is just another normal 15 year old. Except in the Territory normal isn’t normal. The richest children can download information and bypass the need to study. In a flooded world of dwindling resources, Noa and the other ‘Norms’ have their work cut out to compete. And competing is everything – anybody who fails the TAA exam at 15 will be shipped off to the disease-ridden Wetlands, to a life of misery, if not certain death.

But how can you focus when your heart is being torn in two directions at once?

This sounds so good! I want it because, Hello?! You can’t even guess why? The cover is simply beautiful and the synopsis sounds so creative and amazing. I just want to read this now and find out which way her heart decides…. Such a great-sounding book.

Today’s book is The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver:

Publication Date: 28th April 2015 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux

Summary: Ella and Maddy Lawton are identical twins. Ella has spent her high school years living in popular Maddy’s shadows, but she has never been envious of Maddy. In fact, she’s chosen the quiet, safe confines of her sketchbook over the constant battle for attention that defines Maddy’s world.

When—after a heated argument—Maddy and Ella get into a tragic accident that leaves her sister dead, Ella wakes up in the hospital surrounded by loved ones who believe she is Maddy. Feeling responsible for Maddy’s death and everyone’s grief, Ella makes a split-second decision to pretend to be Maddy. Soon, Ella realizes that Maddy’s life was full of secrets. Caught in a web of lies, Ella is faced with two options—confess her deception or live her sister’s life.

How stunning does this book sound? The synopsis sounds perfect for this reading mood I’m in currently…  And very mysterious too.

Identical twins? Always a bonus for me, I love reading about twins…

Secrets and lies? Yes please.

Hiding Identities? I think this book is perfect.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this book… The cover is gorgeous with a capital G as well… Someone just hand me the book now.

Today’s book is Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby:

Publication Date: April 21st 2015 by HarperTeen

Summary: When Quinn Sullivan meets the recipient of her boyfriend’s donated heart, the two form an unexpected connection.

After Quinn loses her boyfriend Trent in an accident in their junior year, she reaches out to the recipients of his donated organs in hopes of picking up the pieces of her now unrecognizable life. She hears back from some of them, but the person who received Trent’s heart has remained silent. The essence of a person, she believes, is in the heart. If she finds Trent’s, then maybe she can have peace once and for all.

Risking everything in order to finally lay her memories to rest, Quinn goes outside the system to track down nineteen-year-old Colton Thomas—a guy whose life has been forever changed by this priceless gift. But what starts as an accidental run-in quickly develops into more, sparking an undeniable attraction. She doesn’t want to give in to it—especially since he has no idea how they’re connected—but their time together has made Quinn feel alive again. No matter how hard she’s falling for Colton, each beat of his heart reminds her of all she’s lost…and all that remains at stake.

Look at the cover. Then look at the synopsis. Why wouldn’t you want this book? It looks so good and I NEED my hands on this book ASAP. There are a lot of good reviews of this book already and if you hadn’t got the message, I want this book.

Today’s book is The Queen of Bright And Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre:

Publication Date: April 7th 2015 by Feiwel & Friends

Summary: Sage Czinski is trying really hard to be perfect. If she manages it, people won’t peer beyond the surface, or ask hard questions about her past. She’s learnt to substitute causes for relationships, and it’s working just fine…

Until Shane Cavendish strolls into her math class. He’s a little antisocial, a lot beautiful, and everything she never knew she always wanted.

Shane Cavendish just wants to be left alone to play guitar and work on his music. He’s got heartache and loneliness in his rearview mirror, and this new school represents his last chance. He doesn’t expect to be happy; he only wants to graduate and move on. He never counted on a girl like Sage.

But love doesn’t mend all broken things, and sometimes life has to fall apart before it can be put back together again…

This has a LOT of good rating already on Goodreads which drew my eye to it. Actually, I think the cover drew me in but altogether, this is already looking out to be a very good book. The cover is gorgeous but the storyline sounds amazing. Cliche but unique. That’s two things I never expected to be in the same sentence. And I’m definitely in the need for a contemporary/romance book and this seems to fit the spot. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one….

Today’s book is Half Wild by Sally Green:

Publication Date: March 24th 2015 by Puffin

Summary: “You will have a powerful Gift, but it’s how you use it that will show you to be good or bad.”

In a modern-day England where two warring factions of witches live amongst humans, seventeen-year-old Nathan is an abomination, the illegitimate son of the world’s most powerful and violent witch. Nathan is hunted from all sides: nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. Now, Nathan has come into his own unique magical Gift, and he’s on the run–but the Hunters are close behind, and they will stop at nothing until they have captured Nathan and destroyed his father.

I feel a bit late to be talking about this book. Whilst it hasn’t even come out yet, many other people have been excited about this book for MONTHS. I recently read Half Bad and enjoyed it. I did find it slightly confusing but I’m hoping that this book will clear up my confusion. It does look very good and I LOVE these covers so very much. I think I will be getting this book, but not for a while yet.

Today’s book is Never Sleep by Cady Vance:

Publication Date: 15th March 2015 by Sagan Press

Summary: 127 days without sleep.

Thora Green had a life once upon a time. But that ended the day her parents enrolled her in sleep clinic prison. At the facility, her chronic months-long insomnia is observed by scads of doctors, but she is never actually treated for her dire disease. In a feat of desperation, Thora escapes and heads straight for New York City. Buried deep in the city’s underbelly, there is rumored to be a secret haven called the Insomniacs’ Café: a place where people like Thora can find relief.

As Thora joins forces with Aiden and Florence, two fellow insomniacs, their midnight quest will take them from the dusty bookshelves of The Strand, to the smokey underground clubs in the Lower East Side, to countless taxi and subway rides. Clues leading to their final destination are waiting for them at every turn. But so are Sleepers—a powerful core of sworn-enemies to all Insomniacs— who wish to see Thora and her friends destroyed at any cost.

This looks really cool! It being about insomnia really dragged me into looking up about this book and I have to say the concept sounds amazing. Whilst it sounds slightly familiar to some other books, I think it’ll be a new insight and that’s what I want at the moment. I think this might give me that feeling of enjoyment once again. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one soon…
