IMG_4479Today’s review is of Heist Society:

Author: Ally Carter

Publisher: Orchard Books

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Summary: Kat’s got a deadline – two weeks to pull off the biggest heist in history… When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her to the Louvre…to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her uncle travelled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she conned her way to the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind. But now her dad’s life is on the line, and Kat must go back the world she tried so hard to escape…

I enjoyed this book, but not as much as I had hoped. From what I’d heard, this book was amazing but I found it kinda eh. The whole thing was just average and compared to Ally’s other books, it wasn’t great. That said, I will carry on the series and there was nothing wrong with the book, I’ve just read better. For what the summary suggests, I expected a high-action book but all I got was what felt like a rushed plot with under-explained characters.
