Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Summary: Professor Rooster needs a new Elite Chicken Squad. But the three feather-brained young chickens he is sent are hopeless. The youngest, Agent Cluckbucket, is the worst of the lot! Unfortunately, it’s too late to recruit any-birdy else. And danger lurks in the Deep Dark Woods. Will Agent Cluckbucket and the Squad be able to work together to defeat the greatest enemies of birdkind?

This book was great! As a book aimed for younger kids than me, I was expecting this to be rubbish and easy to read. I won it in a competition and let’s just say that it wasn’t my first choice, in fact it was the only book left. However, it was actually surprisingly good. I laughed so many times that I got hiccups! It was short and easy to read but that felt good. It was a change to all these long books that take days to read… The writing style was great, the idea itself was cunningly fantastic and the illustrations were the cherry on the top… Overall, a hilarious book which will have you chuckling for ages even after you’ve finished the book…
