CILIP Carnegie Awards

Basically, I’m reading each of the books for the Carnegie Awards. The Awards are the UK’s oldest children’s book awards and there are 8 books in the shortlist. This year, the books are:

The Wall by William Sutcliffe, All The Truth That’s In Me by Julie Berry, The Bunker Diary by Kevin Brooks, The Child’s Elephant by Rachel Campbell-Johnston, Ghost Hawk by Susan Cooper, Blood Family by Anne Fine, Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell and Liar & Spy by Rebecca Stead.

Currently, I’ve read 5 of them: The Wall, All The Truth That’s In Me, The Bunker Diary, Ghost Hawk and Liar & Spy. I loved all of them but I would choose The Bunker Diary or The Wall as good candidates to win at the moment!

If you’ve read any of them, leave a comment below! You could tell me what you thought of it or even if you think it’ll win! If you haven’t read them, but want to, leave a comment too. Tell me which one you’d read first or which one appeals to you more…
